Trails & Rails Museum is owned and operated by the Buffalo County Historical Society. We are a progressive museum located on the route of the Mormon Trail.

A great way to explore the old west Many of the buildings have stories of the actual people that lived there. They have a functioning blacksmith shop, hotel, church, school house, train station and more. Also a nice reasonable gift shop.

Amazing place to bring the family for a fun and very informational tour of the history of Buffalo County, Nebraska. Cool artifacts and a fully operational blacksmith shop as part of the museum. The staff is really knowledgeable and give great tours, not to mention, they have a pretty cool gift shop too in their new building.

Very interesting buildings. It is free to walk around and look at the outside of the buildings. To look inside you need to pay for a tour. Most of the buildings are not wheelchair and stroller accessible.
