Robert Henri Museum

218 East 8th Street

Robert Henri Museum and Historical Walkway was the childhood home of the great American artist Robert Henri for ten years of his life. The building is now listed in the National Historical Register and is now a museum that houses some of Robert Henri’s original works as well as many hard to find prints.

A treasure in Cozad that few people realize exists. The story of his childhood and the principles behind his art is just as interesting as the art itself.

A too often overlooked gem in the Heartland! From beginnings right out of a Louis L'amour western a young man changed his name and became a world renown artist. Robert Henri Cozad never returned to Nebraska but the good citizens of Cozad brought him back through his art. Take the time to stop at the Robert Henri Art Museum in Cozad. Well worth the time.

The staff were really knowledgeable and informative. The tour was a little lengthy but interesting especially if you are interested in art or history. I wish there was more originals from Robert Henri.
