The course rating is 67.2 and it has a slope rating of 103 on rye grass. Overton Golf Course opened in 1963. This course has well conditioned, midsize greens that have subtle undulations. The fairways consist of a mix of grasses. The fairways blend with the rough which is mowed down for playability. Hundreds of pines and cedars have been planted between fairways and come into play on most of the holes.
