An outstanding nature preserve with excellent hiking trails and good educational exhibits. One major highlight is the boardwalk trail that overlooks the Missouri River -- with minimal effort, differently abled individuals have an outdoors option. The off-boardwalk trails offer several miles of hiking at various skill levels. There are some cool spots with beautiful views. The raptor exhibits and injured raptor area is really cool, and the staff are very willing to explain the birds to you. The downstairs indoor play area is a good mix of educational and active. The outdoors children's play area is good, but some of the settings and much of the equipment is in poor repair. Some additional equipment and a little TLC to what already exists would go a long way to making the outdoor play area superb. All in all, an excellent way to spend an afternoon or even a full day. Bring a lunch, hike the trials, and enjoy the beauty.

Excellent nature learning center, raptor park was closed today 4/13/18 to add a new bald eagle exhibit. About 26 miles of well managed trails and boardwalks makes for a great trail day. $9.50 adults and $7.50 kids is well reflected in the amenities.

It is,beautiful and siren. If you want to have an out door experience with nature you will half to get out of your care and search for trails, I highly recommend,to have a holding companion with you. Always, never hike, alone.
