Buffalo Ridge began in 1964 and the grand opening occurred in August 1966 as the only golf course in Kearney. It has remained in one family for three generations and pictured at left are the managers throughout that period Cliff Fox, Steve Rosse and Ron Fox. Steve and his lovely wife Pam are the current managers. The Course Superintendent is Lanny Bates.
The course is surrounded by farmland and new home developments. It is on the northeast side of the City of Kearney, less than 2 miles from center of the city.
The clubhouse was built in 1997 and has become a place to join friends and family after a day of golf on this wonderful course. Food, soft drinks, adult beverages a large dining area for parties are available within a friendly atmosphere.
