Music - Fireworks - Family Fun

A small-town celebration of Ticket: Freedom the way George Washington intended. Complete with live music, food trucks, cornhole , and an hour-long fireworks extravaganza of, yes, extravagant proportions! We are turning our traditional one-day Independence Day Celebration into a weekend event not to be missed! If you are not from around here, we recommend getting a room for the weekend; you’re going to want to stay.

Schedule:
9:00am: AWC Color Dash
Run, walk, crawl, and slime your way to victory in the 2nd Annual Color Dash, sponsored by the Wellness Center! Open to all ages, this event is a one-mile trek through Steinhart Park and features water, slime, color powder, bubbles, paint, and obstacles... but YOU CAN DO IT! Sign ups now open!

12:00pm - 9:00pm: Bethel Church Independence Day Party
Food trucks, bounce houses, dunk tank, watermelon feed, vendor fair, helicopter rides, and more! Food vendors at noon - everything else opens up at 1:00pm

1:00pm: Treestock Live
Live music with some of your favorite regional musicians! The Beer Garden is open all day!

The most fun you can have with a bean bag! Funds raised benefit the Nebraska City Pioneer football program. Cash prizes!

Cool off with a dip in the Steinhart Aquatic Center! Slides, diving boards, zero entry, and a lazy river make this the best pool around! (*Closing early for firework show - information about lounge chair rental during firework show coming soon!*)

6:30 - 9:30pm: Jaycees Ice Cream Social featuring the Southeast Nebraska Community Band
Good old-fashioned ice cream hits the spot on a hot summer day - and sit a while to enjoy the sounds of the Southeast Nebraska Community Band, local barbershop choruses, and other live musical groups!

Dusk: Nebraska City Jaycees Annual Fireworks Celebration
Grab your lawn chair, a blanket, or stake your claim on the bleachers at the ball diamonds to view the area's coolest 4th of July Celebration, compliments of the Nebraska City Jaycees! This hour-long show includes music and ground displays, although the aerials can be seen for miles around.
