Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 10:00am
Downtown Omaha and Gene Leahy Mall

The Patriotic Parade honors our Nation's Military, First Responders and Gold Star Families, while inspiring love of country in Americans of all ages.

Parade highlights include USMC's Marching Band and Fort Riley's Mounted Color Guard, The Parade begins at 10th & Jackson, making its way north via The Old Market to the Gene Leahy Mall.

YOU CAN FLY IN A fully restored original P-51C Mustang that was flown by Tuskegee Airmen during WW II. It will be on display at Signature Flight Support, 3636 Wilbur Plaza, Omaha from 1-5pm May 26 and from 1-4pm May 27. It will lift off twice for flights over Omaha each of those two days for the two highest bidders. Visit HiBid to place your bid! If questions, email: info@patrioticproductions.org

This year, the black riderless horse returns to lead Gold Star families, followed by the Purple Heart balloon and Tomb of the Unknown replica. The nation's largest Thin Blue Line flag will be carried by police, a tiny horse will be walking (or maybe carried), and the Jenson Shires return, along with the corvettes and motorcycles.

Historical segments with children & adults in uniform, accompanied by vehicles of each era, will remind us all of our nation's history from its birth through the pain of wars.

The (free) Concert at the Gene Leahy Mall immediately follows the Parade & includes Gold Star Family Members speaking their Fallen Loved One's name during Roll Call. The USMC Marching Band will also perform at the concert, among others.
