Nebraska Marathon

Join us on 04.23.23 as we return to the streets of downtown Omaha. This year’s race will feature a Half Marathon and 5k. The race starts and finishes in the spectacular Gene Leahy Mall. This year’s half marathon takes you through the historic brick streets of Old Market, past the Capitol District, Creighton University, and across the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge.

13.1 & 5K Only in 2023

Downtown Omaha is in the middle of a renaissance. Construction and amazing projects are everywhere you look. The Lewis & Clark Landing, Heartland of America Park, ConAgra Campus and new Mutual of Omaha Tower to name a few. These projects and construction in downtown Omaha do not allow us to safely and effectively put on a world-class 26.2 mile marathon in our city this year.

Course:

The 2023 race starts & finishes at the all new Gene Leahy Mall in downtown Omaha.

The half marathon route will wind through the historic Old Market District and traverse the streets of downtown Omaha.  Runners will cross the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge over into Iowa, then back into Nebraska to finish under the arch on the 11th Street Promenade on the all-new Gene Leahy Mall complex.

Final race route details will be published soon.  We are working closely with The Omaha Police Department and  City of Omaha Traffic Engineering to have the most scenic, safe and fun route for this years race.
